a special new client, invite you to special events, and request information
via a quick survey.
WELCOMING TEXAS INSTRUMENTS AS A NEW CLIENT
ALC recently customized LearnTech® ESD training for
deployment via web across the semiconductor division of Texas Instruments.
We expect that upwards of 5000 employees will receive this training by
2006.
WELCOMING HOWARD SOMMERFELD TO THE ALC STAFF
We are very pleased to welcome Howard Sommerfeld to
the ALC team as Director, Product Development. Howard brings an extensive
background in electronics manufacturing that includes training management
experience with major telecom manufacturers. Howard has been responsible
for design and development of major CBT, WBT, and distance e-Learning
initiatives, and has a depth of understanding of manufacturing and training
management issues.
BLENDED LEARNING
There is an increasing interest and concern for the development
of blended learning approaches that ensure learning transfer from training
events to workplace performance.
Howard and staff have developed some blended exercises
to accompany the Workplace Hazardous Materials course. This is currently
being piloted at Dy-4 Systems, a division of Solectron.
ROI
Most managers are keenly interested in training evaluation
including measurable return on investment. Howard has developed an ROI
calculation tool that could prove very helpful to your company if you
are struggling with issues related to transitioning to e-learning or blended
solutions.
To receive your FREE ROI
tool, to discuss ROI for your personal situation, to discuss blended learning,
or to express your interest in participating in a FREE seminar on ROI
with e-learning, contact Howard at: hsommerfeld@automatedlearning.com.

THE ALC LIST
You are on this list because of a direct expression of
interest in e-learning or in ALC products. As you are aware, I do not
send a newsletter style e-mail very often. However, if you wish to be
removed, simply reply with “remove” in your heading.
If you are aware of others, in your company or any other
company, who might benefit from inclusion in this list, please invite
them to forward their coordinates to me.
In either case, I will personally attend to your wishes.
