1. New courses to improve your Lean Practices
- Quick Changeover, often referred to as SMED or Setup Reduction, is a fundamental concept in Lean production. Setup reduction methods aim to reduce production changeover to the shortest possible time.
- SMED is released. Order anytime for immediate delivery in LAN format.
- One of the biggest challenges in Lean is sustaining improvements. This requires a high level of “buy-in” at all levels. But how can we expect individuals to engage fully where they do not really understand the bigger picture?
- Through an introduction to various Lean tools, participants build a basic understanding of this larger view and are guided to recognize the interactive value of these tools. Then, when they focus on a specific practice they can visualize how any given tool is not a panacea, but rather a critical piece of a larger solution.

- Total Productive Maintenance is a systematic proactive approach that includes periodic, predictive and corrective maintenance, and has a goal of identifying and eliminating waste or loss associated with production equipment. TPM is integral to the Lean Production system, and is part of the foundation of operational stability that makes Lean possible.

2. New ESD Re-certification course
- You have asked us to develop a shorter ESD course targeted to employees who have previously received training in ESD basics and who now require re-certification.
- You asked us to review the critical issues and to present this information in a fast paced, interesting shorter on-line course.
- You must know that your team is current in their understanding of ESD issues, but you do not want to invest several hours in re-teaching every concept.
- To meet this requirement, ALC is creating an ESD Recertification course, with release targeted for late December.
- ESD Recertification will be available for delivery via our hosted web site or from your corporate LMS.

3. Last Chance to register for IPC A-610D Class A Re-Certification through the web
- For the past few years, ALC has provided technical support to allow BEST, a certified IPC training company, to deliver a modern, low cost, flexible, online IPC discrimination skills re-certification test for trainers.
- We have been alerted that this option for re-certification without added travel expenses will be shut down by IPC in the next 30 days.
