4. Is finding time for training an issue?
John and Walt Custer of Global SMT & Packaging (8.1, January 2008) report: We are now in the seasonal “slow period” – the trough between the Aug-Nov “holiday ramp-up” and the late spring “recovery.” All consumer electronics … follow this strongly seasonal demand pattern. Factories are currently less busy….
Where this slow time is predictable, then the first quarter is definitely a great time for scheduled training. But what if unexpected orders arrive?
Where training is delivered as true JIT, the schedules remain flexible. Any time anybody has a slow moment, LearnTech® training can be available.
Generally, the most expensive component of training is time as measured in human resources – a combination of both the leader’s time and the learner’s time. Translate this time directly into money, as it is a definite cost of training.
Another component of the human resource factor is motivation. Which will be a stronger incentive for your employees: threat of layoff due to slow times or promise of required and cross training during this period. Corporate culture identifies its true attitude toward employees during slow times, and the results play out during the whole year.
If you have time available right now and your organization could benefit from immediate, organized, certification training delivered in interesting modularized courses via the computer, talk with us, visit our website, discuss options, and let us help your organization and individuals achieve consistently high results. It is possible for you to deliver training to your employees within a couple of days of ordering. Our shipping is fast, our support is available, and our system is simple to install. If you have training time now, do contact Evelyn at 866-263-9964 or email eabell@automatedlearning.com.
