3. ESD: Class 0

  • Are you aware of the increasing sensitivity of many modern components, with a growing frequency of Class 0 devices (ESDS <200 volts)?
  • Are you personally involved in a corporate transition arising from this reality?
  • Would Class 0 training benefit your operation?
  • Do you have special issues in this regard?
  • Please send us your comments, so that we can be sure your needs are covered.

4. ValueStreamDesigner

Your problem: Value Stream Mapping is one of the basic process tools of Lean Production. You want to quickly understand the ramifications of changes to your process. What new bottlenecks will occur? Where will resources be underutilized? How will changes affect customer lead-time?

The product: ValueStreamDesigner allows you to quickly and easily compare potential alternatives using dynamic, data-driven simulation. You map the simplicity of a single goal or the complexity of your total system. ValueStreamDesigner adds the features “Tool-based Modeling” and “Dynamic Assessment of Value Streams” to the classic Value Stream Mapping method, without giving up its advantages.

The VSD trial: Try it for yourself with a generous 6 weeks complimentary trial. More information at:
http://www.automatedlearning.com/products/vsd.cfm

Your new problem: VSD is a powerful simulation tool. Powerful tools tend to have a learning curve. This tool looks really promising and could potentially save many, many thousands of dollars, but you need assistance in evaluating the potential for your operation. Familiarity with both value stream mapping and simulation tool usage is necessary background knowledge. But you do not want to invest huge time or money resources at this stage. What to do?

The new solution: VSD Evaluation Training.

ALC now offers two new Training Options to help you evaluate the VSD tool. Additional training is also available for VSD users:

First, let me assure you that when you sign up for the trial, self-help support is available in the form of a detailed interactive tutorial to assist your review. ALC has also developed a “quick-start” lesson – which is very useful -- provided you already have a good understanding of Lean and are adept at navigating new simulation tools.

Once you have a basic understanding of the navigation system, you might still require special assistance to determine the practical application of this tool at your site. Sign up for a personal training package with a one-on-one tutor.

Package A: Personal instructor will guide you through the VSD in a dedicated one-hour teleconference session. You can email questions in advance to ensure you receive maximum value from this session. This session is designed to help you understand how this tool might be able to rapidly support your Value Stream Mapping. You can break this into two half-hour sessions to provide an opportunity for you to spend some time with the tool in between. Introductory Price: $299.00

Package B: Besides the dedicated session, you can ask us to prepare a scenario that represents your current situation. What do you want to simulate in your plant? What specific problems are you struggling with? We will set up a second teleconference session, ideally within one week of the first session, to address one or two specific questions, to provide you with the results, and to help you determine the real value of this tool for your site. We will double the time in one-on-one sessions, and allow you to break the training into three sessions. Introductory Price: $499.00

The total time dedicated to your training by ALC will include preparation for the conferences and emails to support your questions as well as time to evaluate your issues and determine appropriate configurations for the VSD simulation.
