Audience

This comprehensive interactive multimedia program is intended for all employees who need to be able to read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) - based on the ISO standard 16 heading format - as a part of their WHMIS, HAZMAT or HAZCOM training and certification.


Objectives

Participants successfully completing the program will be able to:

  • Define MSDS and explain its purpose.
  • Describe general information on an MSDS and identify the sections in which this information is found.
  • Describe physical and chemical properties on an MSDS including the purpose of knowing each property, and identify the sections in which this information is found.
  • Describe health and environmental factors information on an MSDS, and identify the sections in which this information is found.
  • Identify information on storage, handling, and transportation guidelines on an MSDS, and the sections in which this information is found.
