Audience

The second of three modular interactive multimedia learning programs for operators who work in circuit card assembly. Companies have also found these useful for orienting other personnel to the overall manufacturing process.


Objectives

Participants successfully completing this program will be able to:

  • List the steps in Through Hole Assembly (THA)
  • Explain the order of steps for different types of assemblies
  • Describe some key elements of machine set-up
  • Explain the function of masking
  • Explain the function of the key parts of a wave soldering machine
  • Describe the monitoring necessary at each step in THA
  • Relate specific types of defects to the step in the process where the defect might have occurred.
  • Describe circuit card testing
